We think small groups are an important way to nurture relationships at Cypress Point and encourage spiritual growth.

    -Russ & Tammy

We have found that one of the best ways to strengthen and grow our walk with Jesus is by connecting with each other and building our faith through a community group. We discuss the message each week, and then take a deep dive into Bible study. We have found the relationships with others in our group to be meaningful and fun. We thoroughly enjoy the friendship, the support the connections, the stories, and the inspiration that each of our group members bring to the table.

Hello Ladies!  I am so looking forward to co-leading with Dawn in this exciting Women’s Community Group! It is a wonderful way to get to know each other through the word of God. We get to stand on the foundation of scripture together, support each other, strengthen our spirituality and learn from each other’s life experiences. Also, we will be praying together and worshipping our LORD!! It is always wonderful to dive into scripture and discover a deeper understanding of God’s loving heart! Can not wait to see what God’s going to show us!!!  Robin

I’m excited to co-lead a community group again! I love CPC!

I love getting to know people on a deeper level and I’m excited to create a space where we can all grow closer to Jesus together!  Dawn

  • Harvey & Shana Hunt

We have been in community groups for most of our married lives.  God is the center of our marriage and having a community group to help us stay focused on God is important to us.  The church is not the building, the church is the people, that is why community groups are so important.  The groups have been there through the wonderful celebrations – weddings, births, retirement, as well as through the tough times – deaths, health issues, and the struggles of daily life.  We have grown closer with the members in our groups and consider them to be friends/family.  We know that each of us is only a phone call away or a text away.  Sharing life together with God at the center is the best way we know how to do it.  We would love to have new friends and our current friends join us. May God bless you and nudge you to join a Community Group and enjoy life with Cypress Point Church.

Here at CPC, we found a wonderful community that inspired us to grow in our faith. We have served on various teams, but the challenges of life forced us to seek a stronger, more intimate, support network. It was through the work of our Community Group that we were able to keep God at the center of our marriage and in the forefront of our focus. After all the love and support that we were blessed with here, we want to pay forward and maintain these groups in the hope that they help others just as much.

  • Ron & Sandy Sharp

We moved to Florida 15 years ago from Kentucky.  Shortly after moving here, we started attending CPC.   In an effort to meet people and make new friends, we started leading a community group.   What we got was so much more than just a new group of friends.  It became our extended family.  We love, encourage, and pray for each other through life's joy and pain.  Along the way, we have a lot of fun at our group time and social events.    All this while learning God's word.   What more could we ask for?

We would love it if you would join us.   Married, single, all ages are welcome.

  • Mary Reule

Hey Y'all! Mary here & I am so excited to lead a community group. As Christians we're to follow Jesus' example, & two of these examples apply specifically to why I lead a community group. Jesus loved big & had his twelve disciples with him always. To love each other as Christ loves us we've got to be connected more than waving to each other at church or liking social media posts. So come on over (or hop in the zoom) Sunday nights and let's be friends!

  • Barnes, Gonzalez, & McRoberts Families

We know how important and special CPC Community Groups are, especially being parents to young kids in today’s world. It’s not always easy to find other families that value a close, personal relationship with Jesus, which is why we want to grow our tribe of friends, helping to replenish a parent’s soul and keep us focused on what really matters, while understanding how life in this stage of parenting can be joyous, exhausting, and heart-breaking – sometimes all in the same day!

These types of groups (like Cypress Point’s Community Groups) have always been an important part of my spiritual growth.  God wants us to build relationships with other Christ followers.  God wants us to grow in our faith.  Our Community Group is focused on these principles.  We also have fun in the process!
